Reports of the disruption began to roll in shortly after 9 a.m. EST and quickly escalated. According to outage-tracking site Downdetector, more than 113,000 users reported issues at their peak, with complaints coming in from coast to coast, as reported by nypost. _____________________________
Verizon addressed the situation on X, writing:
“We are aware of an issue impacting wireless voice and data services for some customers. Our engineers are engaged and are working to identify and solve the issue quickly.
