Politics Editor Jamie Goldberg began looking into long standing issues at the Multnomah County Animal Shelter in January.

In her reporting she found that chronic understaffing has caused issues for years including kennels not being cleaned, animals being left inside kennels without walks for weeks, a lack of clear euthanasia records and more.
