Will Smith has opened up about a terrifying experience while filming a scuba-diving stunt at the North Pole.

Speaking to GettyEntertainment ahead of the release of his seven-part docuseries “Pole to Pole With Will Smith”, the actor recalled the moment the dive went wrong.

“We had a problem and the dive got aborted — I’m hearing ‘abort dive, abort dive,’” he said.

Explaining that the frightening incident led to an unexpected breakthrough, saying: “I settled down and I had a moment where I just let go - and when I tell you, total ecstatic bliss.”
