The film follows the titular Chang, a young Asian-American teen who makes a bet, to prove to his peers, his family, and himself, that he can dunk in 10 weeks.

Chang Can Dunk signifies a crucial chapter in our journey towards diversity: the normalization of Asian Pacific representation. Chang’s quest to dunk is not portrayed as an “Asian sports movie”. It’s a bona fide sports movie. And this coming-of-age story will speak to the inner child, the basketball fanatic, and the champion that’s in all of us.
