Today we get to recognize one of our own! Bro. Eddie Blackwell eblack3 is the Global Director of Telco, Media & Entertainment for Snowflake. Snowflake delivers the Data Cloud — a global network where thousands of organizations mobilize data with near-unlimited scale, concurrency, and performance. 

Bro. Blackwell joined the Eta Theta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. in the Spring of 1994 (he’s straddling that line of the old Bruhz 🤣)

During his time at the University of Texas at Austin, he dedicated his time on campus to service. Service not just to Eta Theta but to multiple organizations and he continues that to this day. He is still very active with the members in campus and in the city of Austin as well. 

He and his lovely wife have two children that they infuse life and opportunity to. Recently, Bro. Blackwell completed the process of bringing an Endowed Scholarship for the benefit of exceptional students to our campus through the University Development program! Gestures such as this are what ensure we continue to have the opportunities to attend such prestigious universities. 

Bro. Blackwell is also an avid sports enthusiast and he exemplifies this by competing in iron man, cycling and other completions across the country. Did We mention he’s an Eagles fan 🤷🏾‍♂️ Not sure about that one, but being a part of Omega Psi Phi means we accept brothers for who they are and the way in which they continue to contribute to our fraternity.
