🗣 “When it comes to the tour, the one thing that I think about a lot is losing the individual time trial to Lauren Fignon by a one hundredth of a second. After the stage, Lauren said to me that he thought that they should have gave us both the victory. Losing by such a small margin is something I think about a lot.”

Before the Tour De France kicks off this weekend, we caught up with Vitus ambassador, and Tour legend,
@seankelly.cc, to get his thoughts on the race.

Sean’s top three for the GC:

- Primoz Roglic

- Tadej Pogacar

- Geraint Thomas

"I think Roglic will take the win. We haven’t seen him racing for three months, but I think this could be strategy employed by Jumbo to make sure he’s going into the tour fresh.

Ineos’s strength in depth will help. The first TT is going to be important for Geraint as it will show if he’s the man that they are going to back for the overall.

My outside bet for the GC would be Richie Porte. He’s got some form coming off the back of winning the Dauphine. He just needs to get through the first week."

Sprinters:

"Everyone in Ireland is obviously disappointed that Sam Bennet won’t be there this year, but that’s racing for you.

It’s good to see Cav back! He’s not been looking great in previous years, so I’m happy he’s back at the Tour, as nobody wants to see a guy like Cav finish his career that way. I
 feel he could also grab a stage win, which would be amazing!

With the absence of Sam Bennet, things get interesting when it comes to the green jersey. I think Sagan now has a real chance of getting the jersey back. If not on yellow jersey
 duty, Wout Van Aert could also be in with a shout if allowed to race. Colbrelli and Michael Mathews are also worth a mention. When it comes to Caleb Ewan, I think his focus is more on stage wins than getting in green."

Sean will be commentating on the Tour with
@globalcyclingnetwork+ and
@eurosport over the next few weeks, and we are going to check in with again midway through the race to get some analysis
 moving into the final stages.
