A view of the legislative chamber at Queen's Park #OnThisDay in 1930. According to the Globe newspaper, the horseshoe-shaped seating arrangement was meant to accommodate new technology: brand new radio microphones had been hung from the ceiling of the chamber so that legislative business could be broadcast for the first time. The new seating plan was meant to ensure that all Members' voices would be picked up on the mics. This arrangement remained until 1944.
