Midline/centerline shifts are great tools when used correctly, especially with how the game is progressing. I don’t like seeing my goalies reach or “punch” for pucks as this builds bad habits for the long run. This is a great tool to utilize with different shot releases (Ex. toe drag release), screens, etc. As shooters are changing shot angles drastically compared to previous years, midline/centerline shifts are a must have in everyone’s tool bag.
