Daniel Dippold ‘26 is a freshman living in Marian Hall. He is currently undecided, but has a growing interest in business, as well as film.

“Business is always interesting, and I’ve always liked making movies, and I want to make travel documentaries and take pictures while I travel.”

About his classes this semester, Dippold said, “I’m liking my psychology class, it’s pretty interesting, I like the way the human brain works. I’m also taking a career development course, which has some basic business stuff in it, and I like that so far too.”

Being undecided, Dippold is finishing up the FOCUS Program, which he believes has been helpful to him for his first year; “It’s really good, it’s definitely helpful. Sometimes it’s basic information, but it’s pretty helpful I’d say. It’s not an absurd amount of extra work.”

When asked about what he’s learned going into his second semester at Marist, he said, “How to manage time properly. I wake up normally at like 4 in the morning, go to the gym; it just mentally gets me ready to do assignments early, and then whatever happens in the day happens.”

Where’s Dippold’s favorite spot on campus to eat? He says, “Gotta love Cheryl in the dining hall, I get her omelets every morning, it’s great.”
