Last Thursday the community marched from Boyle heights to Downtown LA, carrying the drum,  singing the AIM song—honoring the American Indian Movement born in working-class Minneapolis in the 1960s. As their  voices rose us,  we remembered that the indigenous struggle continues for urban natives , whether in Los Angeles, Minnesota, or anywhere Indigenous peoples fight for self determination.
