Human remains lying in the American desert.

Discovered. Documented. Marked. Reported.
And still not recovered.

This is not an isolated failure.
It is a pattern.

🟣 For more than two years, Battalion Search & Rescue has documented human remains west of El Paso.
🟣 Sites were reported to the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office and the New Mexico Office of the Medical Investigator (OMI) — connected to the University of New Mexico School of Medicine.
🟣 By law, these agencies are required to coordinate and respond without delay.
🟣 Instead, multiple sites remained unrecovered for over a year.

Families are waiting.
Waiting for answers.
Waiting for their loved ones to be brought home.

We are self-trained.
We are self-funded.
We are not paid professionals.
We are priests, veterans, faith leaders, attorneys, and community members — many of them women — doing work the state has failed to do.

Rather than addressing unrecovered remains, Sheriff Kim Stewart has made extreme and false public claims — suggesting bones were “prehistoric” despite the presence of modern clothing, IDs, and braces on teeth, and even implying humanitarian volunteers may have Planted remains.

These statements are not just false —
they are dangerous.

They divert attention from unrecovered death scenes, undermine public trust, and create a serious public-safety risk when human remains are left uninvestigated in the open desert.

🟣 More than 100 women and girls have been found dead in this corridor in just two years.
🟣 Leaving remains in place does not make this crisis disappear.

This film documents what humanitarian volunteers are facing —
and why we search for those whose families cannot.
