Another New Mexico sheriff’s deputy has been arrested and charged with rape.

"According to the criminal complaint, later in that day, while at Montelongo's home, Montelongo allegedly pinned her down, ripped her clothes off and raped her."

Last year, a deputy in this same county was sentenced to prison for sexually assaulting a woman while she was restrained in the back seat of his patrol car.

"..Martinez kidnapped and sexually assaulted a woman while on duty, then tried to destroy body camera evidence."

At the same time, over 100 women and young girls have been found dead in Doña Ana County, just west of El Paso, in less than two years.

None of these deaths have been ruled suspicious.
No rape testing. No meaningful investigation. All ruled “exposure.”

And Kim "KK" Stewart, the Sheriff of Doña Ana County, has publicly stated that none of these deaths are suspicious and has accused humanitarian volunteers of planting human bones in the desert.

Meanwhile, the Battalion Search and Rescue has located human remains every single month for the past 17 months.

15 previously "recovered" and processed sites were audited independently. Human bones and personal items were found left behind at all 15 sites. 

Bones left behind. Personal effects scattered. Women reduced to statistics and silence.

The New Mexico Office of the Medical Investigator and the Sheriff’s Office continue to classify these deaths as exposure, despite glaring evidence and repeated documentation. 

We have carefully recorded every site. Every report. Every refusal. Every interaction with these state agencies.

This is not anti-law-enforcement. This is a demand for accountability.

Five reported sites remain completely unrecovered as deputies refused calls for service.

When deputies are repeatedly arrested for sexual violence..
and women are repeatedly dismissed in death..
the question is no longer WHAT is happening—
The question is WHO IS BEING PROTECTED?
