Would you trade for Rasmus Andersson? 🧐

On one of Elliotte Friedman’s recent 32 Thoughts episodes, he touched on the recent rumors regarding the Boston Bruins tapping into Calgary Flames defenseman Rasmus Andersson: 

"There have been some reports this week about Boston, and I definitely think the Bruins are involved,'' said Friedman. "I think they're in there, but the toughest thing is to tell where it is at a particular moment. When it comes to the Bruins and Flames, I've heard it's on, it's off, it's on, it's off. I know there were some people who thought at one time it was pretty close, then it backed away. We'll see where it goes. There definitely is mutual interest there.”

He went on to say “if Boston did it, I’d expect it to be with an extension…that screams extension to me.”

Andersson, 29, is in the sixth and final year of a six year, $27.30M contract (4.55M AVV), in 47 games this season, the right-shot defenseman has 29 points (10g-19a).
