In 2001, Jovenes Unidos was mobilizing immigrant youth for the DREAM Act. Today, the DREAM & Promise Act passed the House of Representatives. 

The DREAM & Promise Act are but a step towards permanent solutions for all migrant families to thrive, but it’s long overdue. With this historic decision comes the reality that families are still in detention centers solely based on their documentation status and the affirmation that Immigrants are worth more than just our contributions.

En el 2001, Jóvenes Unidos estaba movilizando a jóvenes inmigrantes para el proyecto de ley DREAM Act. Hoy, el proyecto de ley DREAM & Promise Act fue aprobado por la Cámara Baja.

El proyecto de ley DREAM & Promise Act es un paso hacia una solución permanente para que prosperen todas las familias migrantes.

Con esta decisión histórica llega la realidad de que las familias siguen en centros de detención únicamente por falta de documentación y la afirmación de que los inmigrantes siguen valiendo más que nuestras contribuciones.
