These words couldn't ring more true. Today is #StopFoodWasteDay, a global effort to bring awareness to the harmful effects that food waste has on all of us, and work on reducing it. In Los Angeles County alone, 4,000 tons of food waste is generated every single day, which not only has an economic cost on consumers, but also an environmental one that is felt by all of us as methane levels rise due to increased waste decomposing in our landfills.
