To celebrate the prerelease weekend for Magic: The Gathering’s latest set, Lorwyn Eclipsed, here’s a Goblin ASMR Roleplay inspired by the ’Boggart Ballad’ that Wizards created with the Jim Henson Company. So I guess I’m Jim Chi Henson today! Only with a poor and hastily created puppet, none of the talent, and a very tired arm. Seriously though, hats off to anyone who has to keep their arm raised for long periods of time! Well, hats off if I had the limb strength to do so…

Anyway, this ASMR ‘feeding you because you’re a baby’ roleplay is mainly drawn from the Goblin Matron Card, which wasn’t even in the original Lorwyn… But it was in Urza’s Saga! Which came out when I first started playing, so, y’know. Nostalgia. But in it, you’ll be cared for by a kindly Boggart auntie who will feed you Goblin gruel and then lull you off into a deep Goblin sleep… So, enjoy! And if you’re making it to your LGS for prerelease (mine was sold out, booo), then have a great time!

🎙 What is ASMR? 🎧
 
ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is synaesthesia of the soul. It’s a relaxing feeling, it’s a tingling down the spine, or it’s simply a sleep aid. Whether it’s being ‘held’ by someone you have confidence in, or ‘looked after’ by someone with authority, or just feeling ‘safe’ with someone you trust, it uses audio-visual triggers to enable you to let go of your worries and stresses – even just for a bit.
 
📽 What is FPC? 🎞
 
FPC (first person cinema) takes all the relaxing elements of ASMR but has much more of a focus on immersion and the suspension of disbelief. It’s kinda like being the main character in your own short movie, with popular figures you know and love, or entirely created worlds – just for you. There won’t be any visible mics or traditional triggers in these videos, and they will seem more unintentional than the usual ASMR videos – but they are unique and relaxing experiences designed to transport you to different places, worlds, and times.
