Included in this film program is SILENCE SAM (@silencesamfilm) by Courtney Symone Staton (@symonesees), which tells the story of the most recent student-led movement to remove the Confederate monument Silent Sam, which has stood on their campus at University of North Carolina since 1913.

This month’s edition depicts organized resistance, uprisings, intimate reflections, and slow-motion meditations, breathing life into multidimensional Black experiences in America/Turtle Island.⁣
