CPA Building [Conductors Protective Assurance] by architect Alvin E. Harley, 1923. The building, which stands across Michigan Ave from Michigan Central Station, was originally intended to provide for train conductors in need of insurance or unemployment etc. The doorway sculpture looks to be the work or Corrado Parducci. Currently, New York based Sequoia Properties owns the structure, which has been scheduled for demolition by the City of Detroit since 2007.
