Today was a hard day

It was mentally, physically and emotionally draining

9/11 may have been 18 years ago but I remember it like it was yesterday

So many innocent men, women and children lost their lives

Every year I try to pay tribute and respect to the fallen in my own way and this year I chose something that would really challenge me

March To The Arch is an annual walk to celebrate the freedom of our country and those who have died for it

It is a 21 mile walk from @mikeduffys in town and county to the arch grounds

Coming off of the #75hard challenge I knew this wouldn’t be easy

I made it 12 miles before my body completely gave up

This is the furthest I’ve ever walked in one consecutive stretch and yet I still felt defeated and upset that I couldn’t finish the whole walk

I know I’m being hard on myself, I know this

I don’t know how to explain the disappointment, maybe it’s fatigue, maybe it’s my “relentless” nature @attackathletics

But nonetheless thank you to all the men and women who are firefighters, first responders, EMTs, police officers and military and put their life on the line daily

And especially to the #laduefiredepartment for hitching a ride and letting me play with all your toys on the fire truck 🤣 .
