The Indoor Football League is proud to announce the Players of the Week for Week Two of the 2023 XV season. Vegas Quarterback, Daquan Neal is the Offensive Players of the Week. Duke City Defensive Back, Dexter Reese, earns Defensive Player of the Week. Special Teams Player of the Week goes to Josh Gable of the Massachusetts Pirates.

Daquan Neal – OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

New team, no problem. Dequan Neal had his Knight Hawk debut this past weekend and it did not disappoint. Neal reminded the entire league what this former MVP is capable of. He racked up 220 passings yards, the highest in any game so far this season. Neal completed 13 of 21 attempts, with six of those completions resulting in a touchdown.

Dexter Reese – DEFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

It was a back-and-forth battle between Duke City and Northern Arizona. They entered the fourth quarter with the Wranglers clutching a 28-27 lead. Dexter Reese, Defensive Back for the Gladiators, had already had a great game with multiple tackles and a pass breakup. But he saved something special for the fourth quarter. Dexter added another pass breakup and two interceptions in the final fifteen minutes. Helping Duke City pull away with the 43-35 victory. Reese’s stat line to finish the game included eight tackles, two pass breakups and two interceptions.

Josh Gable – SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Green Bay traveled East to Massachusetts for the Pirates season opener. Massachusetts dominated a one-sided first half. Green Bay found some momentum in the second half. Their comeback effort fell short, partly due to the perfect day put in by Pirates Kicker, Josh Gable. Josh was a flawless seven for seven on extra points and two for two on field goals. Gable accounted for 13 points on the night.
