Textile Studio — Centre[3] x Aeon Studio Group

Thank you @hamiltonspectator Jeff Mahoney's piece on our exciting partnership with @aeon_studio_group. We are so excited to move our Textile Studio into the Felton Brush industrial building on Harriet Street. An excerpt from the article featuring Julie Shea, our Director of Operations: 

“[The new textile studio] is where we are going to establish our embroidery and knitting machines, our looms and industrial sewing [...] and where we are going to house a project with VibraFusionLab @vibrafusionlab — the latter being a Centre[3] partnership project with Jim Ruxton exploring the use of technology to translate sound into both vibration and visual forms so deaf audiences and artists can experience artworks using sound."

"It is the kind of development that just might answer to Centre[3]’s own larger needs, ones it’s been searching to meet for several years now.
Since 2014, we have been looking for a new home to expand our programming and create an industrial arts and crafts centre that would include ceramics, woodworking, welding, and glass blowing, and we are hoping not only to create this but expand the programming even more to include research, innovation, STEAM.”
