If you were walking past @centre3_ during the weekend, our team members Art, Walter, Alex and our installer Conrad @real_harrison_ford have been working hard to install our next Members' Gallery exhibition by Birdie @valomile (formerly known as Valentin Brown) titled "Welcome to My Regulated Body" starting this Friday the 6th.

Writes Birdie, "An obstacle we encountered during the install is that the sunlight entering from James Street dims the projection. Depending on the time of day and the weather, the legibility of the projection changes dramatically, which actually works quite well because it highlights the ways in which the site-specific nature of this show is tied to aesthetics of disability art. The changing legibility of the projection is also one more element that centers the access elements of the show, which have always been the aesthetic and conceptual drivers of the work."

"Of course unexpected things happen during site-specific installations, but part of the fun is also having a supportive team that works closely with you throughout the whole process. My favourite part of the work is to bring not just the pieces together and watching how others respond to the space where they know more than I do — for example watching technicians and installers develop a sense of play with my work."
