[SAVE + SHARE] We stan a multilingual queen 👸🏾❤️! As a multicultural family who travels globally, exposing Kira to multiple languages has always been a top priority! At 3 years old she speaks fluent English and German and can now say and understand a number of commands in Spanish (mostly due to our extensive travels in Latin America and the fact that her daycare in Miami is bilingual). 
⭐️
We recently spent 2 months traveling through Asia and to our surprise, she started picking up phrases in Thai and Bahasa Indonesian as well🙌🏾. As an aspiring polyglot myself (I speak English, French, Spanish, and German) I love this for her and can’t wait to see where her language skills take her!

Beyond the obvious benefits, multilingualism fosters empathy, and some studies show it increases cognitive function and the ability to multitask. So if you're on the fence, this is your sign to learn a new language!

P.S. We use the One Parent, One Language method with Kira, which dictates I only speak to her in English and her dad only speaks to her in German.  While her German used to be way better than her English, both languages are on equal footing since moving to Miami 6 months ago. Hoping to teach her French next ❤️

P.P.S.: Peep the Elsa dress… Kira is officially obsessed with Frozen and won’t watch or wear anything else. Send help 🤣🤣
