Today is #nationalcatday and I dedicate this post to my best friend of 18 years who just recently crossed the rainbow bridge 2 months ago. I’ve had my share of grief and loss throughout my years, but to be honest this one hurts the most. These last two months have been very difficult. I was depressed and felt like an empty shell walking through life, however I’ve now come to a point where I want to heal so that I’m not mourning the loss of my best friend but instead celebrating the life we were able to share together.
Thank you Oreo for teaching me responsibility and how to love and accept love unconditionally. Thank you for your comfort and energy during my lowest of lows. I’ll always remember the feeling of your soft fur against my head as you tried to comfort me when I would I cry on my pillow. Thank you for making me laugh with your goofiness and spunk. I’ll forever cherish the times we would  run around the house and do silly dances together, and most of all, thank you for being you and choosing me as your best friend. I love you!
