## Caption

When Kimberly hit me up for privates, I was very excited to work with her.  She spoke to me about how difficult classes could be and how she could improve as a dancer to become a better class taker and freestyler.  This is our second session together and I can already see improvement in her movement.

My realization with dance after teaching beginners for so many years is that there are connections that need to be made in your mind and body when dancing.  I’ve experienced this on my own dance journey, the feeling of not actually knowing how to do the moves or connect what I’m hearing to how I’m moving.  I think as a dancer in the beginning it is vital to learn from each other and to search for mentors to help you along the journey.
