The DeHaan Artist of Distinction Award provides contemporary visual artists with grants of $10,000 to pursue aspirational projects. Their final projects are shown during a special exhibit at Gallery 924. The Indy Arts Council, with generous support from Christel DeHaan, launched the award program in 2017 and opened it to artists statewide in 2021.⁠
