Tierra Verde is worth the trip. It’s something we’ve always known. Vista at The Top is wonderful brunch destination, Seaworthy Fish Bar is phenomenal, Tampa Bay Watch has their HQ on the island, and nearby Ft. De Soto is a beautiful beach (especially for dog owners). TripAdvisor continues to roll out its Travelers Choice Awards, and Tierra Verde was listed as one of the top trending destinations in America. 

“Just beyond the tip of St. Petersburg, Florida, the island of Tierra Verde is more than just a quiet boating community—it’s also a stepping stone to some of the best nature and wildlife in the area,” writes TripAdvisor editors. “Bike or take a drive down the Pinellas Bayway to Fort De Soto Park for a day at the beach (pets welcome!), catch a ferry to Egmont or Shell Key for tortoise-spotting and bird-watching, and, if all else fails, fresh seafood, live music, and cold drinks are always within reach.”
