To celebrate this momentous achievement, and the decades of campaigning that brought us here, artists, Indigenous Peoples, activists, and local communities from 12 countries across 5 continents have united with Greenpeace to create bold, ocean-inspired murals around the world. 🎨🌍⁣

There were moments it felt impossibly far away, stalled negotiations, industry push-back and endless delays. But we didn’t stop. Together, we kept pushing. And now, this hard-won victory belongs to all of us.⁣

These vibrant works are more than art — they’re proof that when people stand together, governments listen and real change happens. The ocean has a voice. And today, it’s being heard on the streets all over the world.⁣

Now the Global Ocean Treaty is in force, it’s time for governments to use this powerful tool to start creating global ocean sanctuaries — places fully protected from destructive fishing practices, where marine life can finally recover and thrive. ⁣
