Our honest thoughts on #vanlife 🤔...

For Context: over the last few years we’ve RENTED 6 home-on-wheels 🚐. While we don’t plan to live on the road any time soon, we’ve gotten a great taste of short-term tiny living!

Here’s what we like, love & find challenging…

..to travel and explore new places without being tied down—priceless!

Flexibility ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The ultimate choose your own adventure✌️

Minimalism ⭐️⭐️⭐️
You QUICKLY find out what you really need; and become immediately grateful for every resource 💡💦.

Efficiency ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A home on wheels is just that — mobile and super efficient! We’ve saved SO much time NOT unpacking and repacking.. focusing on experiences.

Connect with Nature ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Our favorite - Maximize time outdoors while being super cozy!

☑️CONS: 
•
Affordability 👎
Renting a van is not inexpensive - and gas is costly. But the fact that it covers your stay + transportation (and you can bring groceries & cook anywhere!)… we do think it saves in the long run. Especially if you consider your time as money!!
•
Amenities 👎👎
Relying on public or outdoor bathrooms, and limited running water has its challenges. 
•
Limited Space 👎
Quarters are tight — especially with an adventure buddy! We prefer to van-life in warmer climates to easily expand the living space. 
•

🟥OVERALL— while it’s definitely not as sexy as images appear and it DOES take some getting used to… we are fairly obsessed with the freedom & outdoor experiences a home-on-wheels provides! 
•

🐶 Side note: our pup, Maxx loves it!  Like me, he’s all about quality time, which van life provides in excess. Example - for a week we were only separated in the last pic… zoom in for his reaction 😡🤣.
