Will Trinity Thomas be back for nationals?

The second-ranked Florida Gators are six days removed from seeing their leading all-around gymnast go down with an injury and just a week out from competing for a national championship.

gymtrin was listed as day-to-day with a lower-leg injury following the meet, but she didn't compete in Sunday's region final. Now the question is whether the reigning NCAA all-around champion will return April 13.

"The obvious question's answer ... she's definitely getting better," UF coach Jenny Rowland said. "It is still a day-to-day basis and we're just doing what we can to protect her to get her healthy and we'll see if she's in a position to go forward."
