Missouri held off No. 22 Florida 76–74 Saturday night in a back-and-forth SEC opener, thanks to clutch plays from Anthony Robinson II and a balanced team effort.

Robinson led the Tigers with 19 points and eight rebounds, while Mark Mitchell added 14 points, Jacob Crews scored 13, and Trent Pierce contributed 10 off the bench in his first game of the season. Jayden Stone, returning from a hand injury, scored Missouri’s first eight points and finished with nine.

The game was tightly contested throughout. Florida’s Thomas Haugh scored 24 points with seven rebounds, and Alex Condon added 14 points, six assists, and five boards. Haugh gave Florida its only second-half lead at 65–64 with a three-pointer during an 11–0 run with 3:37 remaining.

Missouri responded late in the game to secure the win. Pierce’s layup with 2:45 remaining gave the Tigers a lead they would not relinquish, followed by a three-pointer 40 seconds later to extend the margin. Robinson banked in a three to make it 74–69 with 21 seconds left, and Missouri still led by five with under 10 seconds remaining. Haugh cut it to two with a three-point play, but missed free throws and a final long three from Boogie Fland sealed the victory.

The Tigers outrebounded Florida 37–37 in a game where Florida entered leading the nation in rebounding margin. Missouri shot 45.4% from the field, becoming only the second team to shoot better than 45% against the Gators this season. The win marks Missouri’s second straight regular-season victory over Florida, following last year’s 83–82 win over the 2025 national champions in Gainesville.
