## Caption

The Senate just unanimously passed Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s DEFIANCE Act, which allows victims of AI-generated sexually-explicit content to sue those who produce, distribute, or possess the material. When the bill was originally introduced back in 2024, it passed in the Senate but failed to receive a vote in the House, leading to its reintroduction in May 2025. If the House votes to approve the bill, it would mark a win for women across the US who have been targeted by nonconsensual deepfake pornography.
