Where light meets shadow, dance becomes the brushstroke. Presented by the Hong Kong Arts Festival the monumental production Caravaggio features Italian ballet icon Roberto Bolle in its highly anticipated overseas premiere in Hong Kong. Hailed as a “masterpiece” by the UK’s “Dance Today”, this work brings the artist’s inner world to life through the intense struggle between angels and demons on stage. 

Choreographer Mauro Bigonzetti fuses classical technique and contemporary movements into a reimagined score of Monteverdi’s compositions, reflecting the passionate and inner conflicts of the painter’s life. Years in the making, this star-studded production graces the HKAF stage in March. It invites the audiences to experience Caravaggio’s legendary world through a seamless fusion of visual arts and dance.
