After school activity and sweet treat in one! These are PERFECTION!

We trebled this recipe because… why not? Plus they wanted BIG biscuits but the recipe will make 24 smaller biscuits!

Recipe:
Homemade Chocolate Hob Nobs
Makes: 20–24 biscuits
Time: 12min prep • 10min bake + cooling
Oven: 180 °C/ 160 °C fan)
Ingredients
100g oats
120g plain flour
100g caster sugar
½ tsp baking powder
100g melted butter
1 Tbsp golden syrup/ honey
½ tsp vanilla
For the topping
100g milk chocolate

Instructions
1. PreHeat oven to 180 °C (160 °C fan). Line two trays with parchment.
2. Mix dry: oats, flour, caster sugar, baking powder, and salt.
3. Mix wet: whisk melted butter with golden syrup and vanilla.
4. Combine: stir wet into dry until you get a soft, crumbly dough that holds when pressed.
5. Shape: Roll out until around 0.5cm thin, cut into circles, set on trays
6. Bake 8-10minutes until golden at the edges. Cool on the tray 5 minutes, then move to a rack to cool fully, they crisp as they cool.
7. Chocolate top: melt chocolate gently (microwave 20–30-second bursts, stirring). Spoon a thin layer on each biscuit and smooth, leave to set at room temperature.
