A report from the Hennepin County Medical Examiner has determined that the death of #ReneeGood was a homicide resulting from multiple gunshot wounds. She was shot twice while driving, which caused her to lose control of the vehicle and crash.

Although the complete autopsy report has not yet been released, a separate CBS News report noted that #TraceeMergen, the acting FBI supervisor of the Public Corruption Squad in the Minneapolis field office, resigned last week, partly due to the ongoing investigation into Renee Good’s fatal shooting. When approached for a comment, the Minneapolis FBI field office stated that it is “FBI policy not to comment on personnel matters.” According to a source mentioned in the report, Mergen left the FBI “in part due to the pressure to reclassify or discontinue the investigation into Good’s death.”

Initially, Renee Good’s shooting was treated as a civil rights matter; however, the leadership at the Justice Department later directed the FBI and prosecutors to reclassify the case as an assault on a federal officer. They also ordered an investigation into Good’s wife, who was involved in the incident. Good, 37, was fatally shot on January 7 by an ICE officer #JonathanRoss while she was operating her SUV. Two U.S. officials briefed on Ross’s medical condition reported that he suffered internal bleeding to the torso following the shooting.(SWIPE) ✍🏾:#TSRStaffJR
