A case that was already messy just got a lot more personal.

According to PEOPLE, documents in Blake Lively’s ongoing 'It Ends With Us' legal battle were partially unsealed, revealing private messages between Lively and Taylor Swift in which Lively refers to Baldoni as “this doofus director of my movie” and “a clown.” 

The texts have already fueled intense scrutiny around Swift’s proximity to the dispute, despite her not being a party to the lawsuit.

In documents obtained by Page Six, Swift appears to reference Baldoni directly. Swift allegedly wrote to Lively, “I think this b***h knows something is coming because he’s gotten out his tiny violin.” 

The phrase immediately caught attention from fans because it also appears in Swift’s 2025 song “Cancelled,” where she sings, “Or bring a tiny violin to a knife fight? / Baby, that all ends tonight.” 👀

Baldoni previously alleged that Lively leaned on outside influence during disputes over the film, while Swift’s camp has firmly denied any involvement beyond licensing one song, stating she had no role in casting, creative decisions, or production.

The texts, however, seem to indicate that some sort of in-person meeting happened between Taylor, Blake and Justin as Blake reportedly wrote to Taylor, “You were so epically heroic today. I recapped every moment to Ryan. I kept remembering stuff—You making s**t up about me… referring to yourself as my doll.” 

Blake's texts go on to reference several specific instances from the conversation including Baldoni supposedly not knowing Taylor's work and an "NYU thing."

With the trial still scheduled for May 18, even indirect mentions are now being dissected line by line.
