Jennifer Lawrence just spilled the tea on losing a major role to Margot Robbie 👀 and it’s for a reason that feels so untrue, it’s laughable.

JLaw opened up on the ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast about missing out on ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.’ According to the actress, fans online reportedly argued she wasn’t “pretty enough” to play Sharon Tate.

“I’m pretty sure that’s true, or he just never was considering me for the part and the internet just went out of its way to call me ugly,” Lawrence said.

Margot Robbie ultimately landed the role, and Sharon Tate’s sister, Debra, said back then: “They are both extremely accomplished actresses, but I would have to say my pick would be Margot simply because of her physical beauty and the way she even carries herself is similar to that of Sharon.”

“She’s just, I don’t know, she’s not pretty enough to play Sharon,” Debra continued. “That’s a horrible thing to say, but I have my standards.”

Tarantino later clarified Lawrence had been considered for a different role, but it just didn’t work out. “She was interested in doing it, but then it didn’t work out. She’s a very nice person and I like her, I respect her as an actress.”
