'Twas the night before Halloween, when all through the school/
Little creatures were scurrying. There were witches and even a ghoul/
They were in search of candy, preferrably chocolate that wasn’t too bitter/
But when they rounded the corner, they found the SMU Nordic Team with a pile of glitter/
The children gathered ‘round the table so they could all hear/
Scary stories being told about those 42 medal-less years/
But fear not the skiers said/
For a fellow Minnesotan broke the curse while wearing blue, white, and red/
She and her pink-haired companion were rewarded with gold/
Leaving a legacy that will be remembered years down the road/
In honor of that historic day, each child’s costume was completed with a sparkle/
So all will remember that anything is possible, just ask Meghan Markle.
