Spa day in a MUD VOLCANO?! 🌋🛁👇 😜 Send this to someone who would 100% dive into a mud volcano with you! 📍 El Totumo Mud Volcano, Colombia 🛁 This wild little volcano is filled with warm, mineral-rich mud and yes, you can float in it! The volcano is thousands of feet deep but you perfectly float on top with no effort at all.  🧖‍♀️ It’s one of the most hilarious & unexpected experiences you’ll have in Colombia, and the mineral-rich mud is said to work wonders for your skin. 🚐 How to get there from Cartagena: 🌋 El Totumo is about an hour outside the city. You can rent a car, hire a private driver, or book a guided tour (many include transportation, entry, and a snack). We booked a tour and recommend booking the earliest tour possible to avoid the crowds like we did. 🎟️ Entry Fee: There’s a small entry fee (usually around 10,000 COP), plus optional tips for the helpers who assist you in and out of the mud and offer massages inside the volcano! 🧼 Post-mud rinse: After your soak, you’ll walk to a nearby lagoon where local women help rinse off the mud (and yes, you’ll want the help it gets everywhere 😂). #colombia #cartagena #cartagenacolombia #spaday #mudbath
