Congratulations to Thunder Lacrosse Club 2027 Defender August Spainhour on his commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Hampton University!
August is a tireless worker who plays the game with passion every time he steps on the field. A very physical defenderwith great size & solid footwork, he takes pride in locking down his matchup. He’s also a vocal leader on the defensive end, communicating & keeping everyone organized. August is the 12th commitment in the ‘27 class. 
In transition, August shows his versatility — he handles the ball with confidence in the clearing game & makes smart decisions under pressure. Beyond his play, he’s a positive, selfless teammate who puts the team first & brings energy every day.
Hampton is getting a tough, dependable defender & an even better person.
