## Caption

Our first running race started in 2004 as the "Run for Snow" - a fundraiser to support the first snowmaking at Theodore Wirth Park, which eventually became known as the @surlybrewing Trail Loppet.
.
Notice the snow at that first race? Zamboni tailings from a local ice arena! And, check out the super high-tech finish line - we've come a long way in 16 years!
.
This year’s @sitkasalmonshares CityTrail Loppet has changed with these strange times and will be held next week as a semi-virtual trail run, but it will still have that same great spirit found at that first trail race and every one in between! Visit Loppet.org/CityTrail (link in bio) for more information and to register today!
