With Josh Hoey taking down Wilson Kepketer’s Indoor 800m World Record from 1997 last Saturday, we gathered a list of the world record progression for the event dating as far back as 1925.

Additional Notes: performances which were not listed as ratified or were ran as 880 yards were not included. Dieter Fromm is from East Germany.
