Darlan Souza could be on his way to Turkish volleyball next season! The Brazilian opposite is reportedly close to joining Halkbank Ankara after receiving a major offer, despite having a year left on his Verona contract.

The move would see Darlan become a central piece in Halkbank's planned roster reshuffle, as the club prepares for a strong push in both domestic league and European competition. 

At just 23 years old, Darlan's power and scoring ability could elevate Halkbank's offense and make them a serious title contender next season.

Darlan Ferreira Souza is a prominent Brazilian professional volleyball player who currently plays as an opposite spiker for Rana Verona in Italy’s SuperLega for the 2025/26 season. Born on June 24, 2002, he is widely recognised as one of the most explosive young talents in the sport, known specifically for his extraordinary vertical jump (measured at 370 cm) and high-speed serves reaching up to 133 km/h.

The SMS Grup Efeler Ligi (Turkish Men’s Volleyball League) is currently in its 2025–26 season, established as one of the elite professional volleyball leagues in Europe.
