📚 English professor and librarian Julie Park has been recognized with a 2024 Choice Outstanding Academic Title Award for “My Dark Room: Spaces of the Inner Self in Eighteenth-Century England.”

Selected as one of the year’s best scholarly books, “My Dark Room” explores how material spaces shaped inner life in eighteenth-century England. “I took risks in writing this book,” Julie said. “Winning the award feels like further affirmation of the decisions I made.”
