🍻THE BAR 🍻 I had the idea 💡 

💭 What if i surprise Carl with a bar in the garage for his 40th Birthday 🎈 

The big clear out commenced - I sold lots of items on FBM & multiple tip runs

Carl had a boys weekend in Portugal but we started early on Monday 1st July while he was still in the UK at work between the hours of 9-5 The talented ak_sonsbespokejoineryltd snook in! Hiding in a car park until the coast was clear while I turned off all the cameras - using birthday present deliveries as an excuse! They cleared away all the evidence as though they hadn’t been in - Even rinsing down the sawdust! 😂

Day 1 Monday 1st - insulate & raise flooring, install the stood walls 

Day 2 Tuesday - Electrician Lee Proctor 1st fix - walls insulated & panelled.

Day 3 Wednesday - ceiling insulated boarded & Flooring fitted! 

Day 4 - Carl leaves for Portugal! The door is cut out! Meanwhile the joiners built the bar in their workshop! 

Day 5 - Bar & skirting fitted, leccy back for second fix - we now have lighting! Off to the supermarket for nuts, pork scratchings and beer! 🍻 

Day 6- Dad comes over - we spent the day priming wood!

Day 7- The wonderful holmestohomespainting Did A full day of filling and painting! & My amazing friend louiseyoung82 building furniture! The Fridge was unpacked, turned on and the place cleaned! 

Day 8 Monday 8th - The decking cut out for a step to the door - shelves, optics, dart board pictures up. Glasses shined alcohol stocked up all the finishing touches in …

🎉TODAY WAS THE DAY! He arrived home around 5pm with us hiding in the garage for the big reveal! He was Gobsmacked, Confused and Speechless! 🎉 We pulled it off! I’m so pleased and he absolutely loves it!

We can’t thank you all enough all the trades, friends, family and followers for making it a reality - I couldn’t have done it without you all!
