## Caption

There have been multiple documented instances in recent weeks of federal immigration agents confronting people of color in Minnesota — at bus stops, on sidewalks, in parking lots — and demanding proof of citizenship. Many of the interactions have been filmed and showcased on social media platforms as examples of alleged racial profiling by ICE agents. Media outlets, including the Minnesota Star Tribune, have also documented instances of Somali, Latino and Native Americans being detained when they were unable to immediately prove their citizenship. Federal officials deny that they are targeting people based on race and ethnicity and have repeatedly said they are following the law during immigration enforcement.
