It was a brutal night for Dublin colleges as holders DCU, last years finalists UCD and TUD were knocked out of the #SigersonCup while Maynooth were stunned in injury time as UL roared back to when in extra time on an extraordinary night in the colleges competition. 

ucc_gaa stunned DCU with a second half comeback to win 3-16 to 1-20 in the capital to reach the last four, while Dáithi Hogan's injury time goal saw UL draw level and they raced away in extra time to win out 3-16 to 0-17.

queensgaa rattled 3-18 against TU Dublin's 2-16 in a brilliant clash to reach the last four and within an hour of a first final in almost two decades.

The final game saw universityofgalwaygaelicgames overcome UCD in a shock defeat, 0-14 to 0-15 in Belfield, with Shane McGrath driving over a late late two pointer to win the game at the death.
