We know that work can be tough at times but we hope you have a pleasant day today, January 30, for National Fun At Work Day! For today, Jared discussed how he and Howard like to have fun working together in the print shop at the Sacramento History Museum. In this video, Jared letterpress printed the phrase, “Press the red button, Howard.” in 60 point Cheltenham Bold font. This was printed with black rubber base ink using our Washington hand press, which was made in 1852. For those wondering the origin of the phrase, “Press the red button, Howard,” it started over 4 years ago when Jared first asked Howard if roles could be reversed and he could print something for a video. While recording the video, Howard wondered how and when to stop recording. Jared said, “Press the red button,” referring to the stop button on a phone, and the phrase has stuck ever since. #SacHistoryMuseum #sacramento #museum #printing #funatwork
