SWU - 1916 💙As enrollment grew, President Bedford saw the need for more space. In the summer of 1916, construction began on a new building—and by September, Grimes Hall was complete!
But this wasn’t just any building—it was the first on campus to feature steam heat 🔥, running water 💧, and electricity ⚡. Known as the Ad Building, Grimes Hall stood as the campus centerpiece for more than fifty years.
