HBCU students are speaking against ICE and the Trump Administration. Today, January 31st, AUC students organized a march that started from the AUC Woodruff library on the campus of Clark Atlanta University, all the way to the Georgia State Capitol. 

-The march was organized by campus organizations legaciesofthemovement.auc / taiclarkatl founded by meyunnaadvocates

“As students of the AUC, we are legacies of those who actively invested themselves in making a change on a daily basis. We do not want to look passive to oppression that is continuing and escalating. Our alum led sit-ins and protests during the Civil Rights Movement. And now, their work is under attack by the current administration.  We are NOT passive. We are still here. Even though the current policy continues to harm our people and communities, we are still standing and will not stop advocating for ourselves and those affected.

What are we protesting? We are showing our voices openly in opposition to the current government administration, as well as the abuse of people of color, those who are impoverished, and we are taking a stand against ICE.”
